A Little About Me
Hi, I’m Abigail Carew, but most people know me as Ab, Abs, or Abby. I’m a recent Graphic Design graduate from the University of Tampa with a strong creative background and a love for all things visual.
I work across graphic design, visual storytelling, and social media, and I’m always excited to create things that feel thoughtful, fun, and intentional. Growing up as a pretty anxious kid, art became my escape without me even realizing it. Now, it’s how I express myself, work through ideas, and connect with others.
I’m currently looking for graphic design, social media, or general creative roles where I can keep learning, growing, and collaborating, while also giving back to the communities around me whenever I can.
My Experience
2024-2026
Designed and hand crafted intricate character driven costumes for beautyand the beast production on stage school of performing arts. Thesecostumes included Cogsworth, Chip, and Madame de la Grande Bouche.Utilized a combination of materials and techniques to craft visuallyengaging, functional costumes that captured the essence of eachcharacter, while allowing for ease of movements for the children onstage.Collaborated closely with the production team to ensure thatdesigns aligned with the overall artistic vision and contributed toimmersive storytelling of the performance.
2024-2025
Design and create both physical and digital materials, including banners, painted letters, and graphic designs, for recruitment, sisterhood events, philanthropy and fundraising initiatives, and senior ceremonies. Develop and oversee creative projects to ensure visual consistency and alignment with event themes, leveraging digital tools to enhance branding and engagement. Establish and manage a creative arts committee as needed to assist with various projects, fostering collaboration and innovation in all design efforts
2023-2024
Collaborated with Whitman-Hanson Regional School District to design and paint hallways and classrooms, enhancing the school’s aesthetic and creating a welcoming and safe environment for students. Delivered high-quality work while meeting project deadlines, showcasing strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence in visual design. Contributed to a positive and inspiring atmosphere through creative and purposeful design solutions.
